This Art Display Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on the date of acceptance between 950174 Alberta Ltd. ("Remedy Cafe") and the undersigned artist ("Artist"). By checking the terms and conditions box, the Artist acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Agreement for the display of their artwork at Remedy Cafe.

 

1. Duration of Display:

 

The artwork will be displayed at Remedy Cafe for an undetermined period. Remedy Cafe has the right to determine the duration of the display and may make changes at any time without prior notice.

 

2. Sales of Artwork:

 

a. Pricing:

The pricing of the artwork will be determined by the Artist. Remedy Cafe will not alter the prices without the Artist's consent.

 

b. Sales Transactions: 

​

Remedy Cafe will handle the sales transactions of the artwork. Artists are responsible for delivering artwork in a display-ready state.

 

c. Payment: 

 

Artists are entitled to receive payment for sold artwork on a weekly basis. Payment will be made with cash within the week of the sale. Remedy Cafe will retain 7% of all sales for transaction cost purposes. The net amount (93% of the sale) will be paid to the Artist. Remedy Cafe reserves the right to withhold payment if there are any disputes or concerns regarding the artwork's condition, authenticity, or the transaction.

 

d. Withholding Payment: 

 

Remedy Cafe may withhold payment temporarily but will never forfeit payment owed to the Artist. In the event that payment is withheld, Remedy Cafe will provide written notice to the Artist explaining the reasons for the delay. Any issues will be resolved promptly.

 

3. Replacement of Artwork:

 

If all the displayed artwork is sold or Remedy Cafe decides to make a change in the art display, the Artist will be notified. In the event that artwork is removed from display, the Artist is responsible for promptly collecting their artwork from Remedy Cafe.

 

4. Promotion:

 

Remedy Cafe and the Artist may collaborate on promotional efforts related to the art display. Both parties agree to promote the presence of the artwork and the cafe through various marketing channels.

 

5. Insurance:

 

The Artist is responsible for insuring their artwork against loss, damage, or theft during the display period. Remedy Cafe is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of the artwork.

 

6. Termination:

 

Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the Artist will have [number] days to collect their artwork from Remedy Cafe.

 

7. Governing Law:

 

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada.

 

8. Entire Agreement:

 

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, negotiations, and agreements.

 

9. Acceptance:

 

By checking the terms and conditions box, the Artist acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this Art Display Agreement.
